Apple ha annunciato la nuova uscita di " Safari 4.0 " dichiarando che avrà il più veloce motore JavaScript in circolazione. Questa specie di miracolo è da attribuire al nuovo interprete JavaScript SquirrelFish , che sfrutta i vantaggi delle latest research in optimization of virtual machines. It is estimated that SquirrelFish is almost twice faster than Tamarin, the JavaScript engine at the base of Flash 9 as well as future versions of Firefox.
